Pop-Up Markets

What is a Pop-Up Market?

A Pop-Up Market is an opportunity for the farmers’ market to reach a specific audience or to appear in a neighborhood that might be considering launching a Community Farmstand. Depending on the nature of the individual Pop-Up Market, it might be a one-time event or might occur several times throughout the year.  The number of vendors at a Pop-Up Market could range from five to fifteen.

We routinely partner with the Fayette County Health Department and other governmental entities to use Pop-Up Markets to better reach people that are at risk of food insecurity.

In the past, we also partnered with Toyota Manufacturing to host a one-time Pop-Up Market (featuring Scott County farmers) at their new engineering facility in Georgetown.

Feel free to contact us if your business or organization is interested in sponsoring a Pop-Up Market!

Farmers have long been known for their shrewdness when it comes to farming and other business ventures, but one recent trend has shown them to be even shrewder gamblers. Many farmers enjoy playingin gambling games at live casinos, where they can gamble with ease and without leaving the comfort of their own homes. Some believe that this hobby is a way for farmers to take their minds off of tough conditions on the farm. Others say that gambling provides a sense of excitement that can help offset the stress of being in business. Whatever the reason, there is no doubt that online casinos are popular among farmers. According to a study conducted by the ERS, approximately one-third (32%) of American farmers have played at least one online casino game in the past year. In addition, farmers in all 50 states were found to be avid online casino players. The main reasons given for playing online casinos by farmers were entertainment (35%), making money (27%) and relaxation (24%).
