About the LFM

The Lexington Farmers' Market has developed into a five day per week market during the season. Our traditional outdoor season is mid-April until late November, but we operate YEAR ROUND at the 5/3 Bank Pavilion in Cheapside Park.

We currently have more than 75 members. Many of these farmers only come to the market during the season for their specialties, such as sweet corn or tomatoes, but others come year round with products such as meat, honey, and eggs or value added products like jams, breads, and sauces.

We were established in 1975 as the Farm and Garden Market Cooperative Association and are proud to serve our community for over 40 years.

About our Vendors

From our market's launch in the mid-1970s, the world and our market have gone through many changes.  One of the things that has stayed constant is our desire to bring high quality products to market each week.  Our long history has led to a great variety of vendors and products.  If you ever wonder whether the product you want to purchase is produced by the person selling it or where the product was grown or raised, simply look at the price card located near the item. An example card is located below. Each price card or sign will list the product, the unit, the county of production, and label the product as "Grown/Produced by Seller" or "NOT grown/produced by seller.  If there is a concern about the accuracy of information on the card, please notify market staff at the information booth. Farmers are subject to both internal and third-party inspection of their products and farmers' market-related operations in order to ensure the transparency and the safety of all products purchased at the LFM.
